Jürgen was born in Tübingen in 1967. Due to the professional activity of his father, he grew up mainly in various Asian countries and in Egypt. After graduating from high school, he first studied Egyptology. After further studying art history, he has been working as a self-employed tour guide since the beginning of 2010.
He is particularly interested in the history of architecture. This is also expressed in the choice of his tours. State representative buildings from the baroque period through classicism to contemporary architecture can be found in a small space in Berlin Mitte. These buildings show how the relationship between architecture and power has developed over the centuries.
His second focus is everyday life in Berlin in the so-called Kiezen, the city districts. Locals and tourists are particularly fascinated by the colorful variety in the Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg districts. In addition, the social and political development of Berlin from the early days to the present can be shown using the example of these districts.
