About me

My name is Alexander and I was born and raised in Barcelona as the son of German parents. Except for a few years that I spent in Germany in my youth, I have always lived in Catalonia and therefore know my way around this country very well.

At the University of Barcelona I studied geography and history as well as business administration. I then completed my training as an officially certified tourist guide for Catalonia in German and English.

I currently live in Catalonia's capital, Barcelona. My personal areas of interest are art, culture, photography and mountaineering.

As a private independent tour guide, I would like to offer you tours tailored to your interests: from a two-hour visit to two or three-day excursions, from a normal visit for those interested in art and culture to a very special mountain hike for lovers of landscape and nature.

I will show you everything that you would not otherwise see in my region: small, unknown villages, remote and still unspoilt bays on the coast, varied landscapes inland, unusual and curious, rarely visited treasures of Catalan culture and history, nature reserves and national parks , majestic high mountains and much more.

Of course, under my guidance you can also visit Barcelona's Sagrada Familia, the Gothic Quarter, Gaudi's world heritage buildings or numerous art exhibitions or go shopping through the most famous streets and the most modern shops in the city. And I can also help you if you want to get to know the Catalan cuisine or the famous Spanish tapas.
