Sighisoara is, without a doubt, the quintessential Transylvanian medieval citadel. Considered by many one of the most beautiful citadels in Europe, its historic Old Centre is so well preserved that it has been declared a UNESCO heritage site. With Sighisoara Day Tour you will have the chance to discover this unique place and its millennial story.
The tour starts with early pick-up from your hotel and after a scenic drive across the mountains we arrive in the heart of Transylvania: Sighisoara. The tour includes climbing the Tower - the most impressive of all the Transylvanian towers, the Venetian House, the Stag House, the Student Stairs and the Church on the Hill.
Besides its colorful houses, cobbled streets and Saxon legacy, Sighisoara is also famous for being the childhood place of Vlad the Impaller. This medieval Romanian ruler is the figure that inspired Bram Stoker's notorious vampire, Count Dracula. Located in the centre of the citadel, the house that once belonged to the Dracula family is one of our stops on the tour.
After we've wandered the alleys of Sighisoara we head towards another UNESCO heritage site: the fortified church of Biertan.
In the evening we start towards Bucharest. Sighisoara day tour ends with drop off at your hotel.
