Golkonda Fort was the capital of Qutb Shahi Sultans who ruled during 16th and 17th Centuries which resulted in the influence of Islam in this part of South India with the legacy of well built impregnable fort, great mausoleums of the departed kings, beautiful mosques, madrasas, mortuary baths, civil structures and palaces. Hyderabad has a history of trade in precious gems and its role in the pearl trade has given it the name, "City of Pearls". The modern day development of Hyderabad with IT / ITES services made it Cyberabad which is the future of Hyderabad. Shilparamam, an art and crafts village developed in early 90's, located in HITEC City area is a delight to the eye of a foreigner.
