Day 1
9 pm departure in night bus reclining seat from Retiro. Snack on board.
Day 2
6pm Arrival in Mercedes. Transfer Mercedes - Pellegrini Irupé Lodge in 4x4. Breakfast. Relax. Lunch. Silent exploration of the swamps and lakes by boat and approaching numerous wild animals up to 1 or 2 meters distance; then tour in the jungle of howler monkeys and visit the reserve museum. Sunset on the boat. Dinner and overnight Irupé Lodge.
Day 3
Trekking with visit to small estancias. Experiencing gaucho daily life far from electricity and cars. Walking during the day or sunset (possibly by moonlight) in the middle of the pampas, observing the wildlife of the Pampa Humeda. Lunch or dinner with peasant family (gaucho family). Overnight Irupé Lodge.
Day 4
Boat safari to another swamp region where caimans nest. Transfer to horses at secluded jetty; horseback safari along swamp edge and through small jungle islands. Picnic or barbecue on an estancia followed by fun with gaucho games. Dinner and overnight Irupé Lodge.
Day 5
Transfer Pellegrini - Candelaria in 4x4. Lunch at the Estancia. Afternoon getting to know the 80 km² estancia by 4x4, horse or on foot. Dinner and overnight stay on a real cattle farm (Estancia). Optional visit to the night show Imagenes y Sonidos in San Ignacio (duration with round trip 2 hrs).
Day 6
Early morning you can watch the gauchos at work in the corral. Transfer private in car/all wheel Candelaria - Iguazú (arg. side). On the way possibility for 2 stops with sightseeing (ex.: Jesuit ruins of San Ignacio, orchid farm, Yerba Mate cooperative, semiprecious stone mine,...). Arrival at the jungle lodge around 6 pm. Overnight jungle lodge in Iguazú.
Day 7
Private excursion one half day to the waterfalls Argentine side and one half day to the waterfalls Brazilian side. Various hikes on the panoramic trails and at the Devil's Mouth. Rafting under the falls optional. Lunch free. Overnight jungle lodge in Iguazú.
Day 8
Private transfer to airport IGR (arg. side).
