Hiking, culture and relaxation in the sunny south of Spain, winter temperatures between 15 -20
Cº and the sun of the only European semi-desert invite you to take a break from the dark Central European winter.
The natural park Cabo de Gata- Nijar in the east of Andalusia extends over an area of 45,000ha of an African-like coastal mountain landscape of volcanic origin with peaks up to 500m high. Bizarre cliffs and hidden small bays that can only be reached on foot or by boat are waiting to be discovered.
Protected as a biosphere reserve, coastal nature park and geopark, Cabo de Gata-Nijar has remained largely untouched by the construction of the last 30 years, which has destroyed many a coastal strip on the Mediterranean. Due to the warm semi-desert climate, the vegetation phases shift to autumn to spring. You walk in fresh, tender green, which emerges "shyly" in the protection of rocks and wadi basins. In the middle of the Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park, you will stay in the quiet beach village of San José on the Costa de Almería and explore the cliffs, cliffs and hidden coves with inviting beaches that you will reach on paths through wadis with interesting ecosystems and over the coastal mountains. As you stroll through the old towns of Granada, Almeria and Malaga, you will discover Andalusian cities and their cultural highlights, such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Alhambra of Granada.
We offer three 8-day active travel programs for different requirements, mostly full board and extension options of 3 or 7 days in half board.
The programs are planned for small groups of 4 to 8 people, changes and estimates for private or larger groups or other extension options on request.
Our 8-11 or 15 days programs are for transfers to and from Malaga airport.

Equipment - especially for the hikes
We recommend wind- and rainproof hiking clothes, which you can put on and take off as needed according to the "onion-skin" principle. For the hiking stages are light, good grip light mountain or trekking shoes necessary. Those who are used to walking with telescopic poles should not do without them for some stages.

Of course it is the aim of your tour guide to reach all programme points. Should there be any necessary deviations from the programme due to weather conditions, organisational or other reasons, we ask for your understanding. Please note that public holidays or unexpected restoration work (despite careful planning and coordination with authorities and transport offices) can lead to unforeseeable closures of sightseeing objects. In addition, we expressly point out that you participate in the trip at your own risk.
Entry and health
For citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the valid national identity card (or valid identity card) or passport is sufficient for entry to Spain. For more information on entry requirements and embassies/consulates, please refer to your initial travel documents.
In international travel, Spain does not require any vaccinations. In general, vaccination protection against tetanus, diphtheria and polio should be checked and refreshed if necessary.
Enjoy hiking and relaxing in Cabo de Gata, easy day hikes with detailed introductions to the semi-desert ecosystem are rounded out with cultural visits to Malaga, Almeria and in Granada with a visit to the Alhambra.
