The Vienna Ringstrasse is a magnificent boulevard that was built in the Wilhelminian period and gave its name to a unique architectural style. The Ringstrasse era, however, only lasted about a quarter of a century. It was an era in which Vienna received numerous new public and private buildings in a limited area outside and inside the newly constructed street, which is just over 5 km long.
