Description of Tour

Experience a vivid and impressive tour of the Warsaw Ghetto. During the 3-hour walking tour, you will see the real places and hear the authentic stories. You will learn everything about pre-war Jewish Warsaw, the creation and liquidation of the largest ghetto in Europe, everyday life in the ghetto and the heroic uprising of 1943. You will explore fragments of the ghetto wall, the last streets of the ghetto and parts of the city that were inside the ghetto. You will visit the only synagogue that survived World War II and is still in operation. They stop at the spot where Willy Brandt famously fell on his knees. You will learn everything about the symbolic meaning of the transshipment point, what the supposed logic of the extermination consisted of and how the plan for the final solution of the Jewish question was put into practice. You will also discover why the Jews took up arms and who helped. Although the ghetto is long gone, it is important not to forget its history.
