The first premium hiking trail in the region is extremely varied. Numerous idyllic corners, charming views, impressive rock scenery and sights distinguish the route. The proportion of paths is high. Many passages have been specially designed to show off the landscape to its best advantage. Some passages of the very exciting trail are downright adventurous. The Wittgensteiner Schieferpfad takes you close to the pulse of nature: the former railway line and the three nature reserves are particularly unspoilt. And at several stations, history can be experienced up close.
