An alternative to the typical tourist excursion to Montserrat is a mountain walk with views of the geological structure and the many peaks of the mountain, where climbers can often be seen. Two routes are offered:
- A circuit of about 3 hours up to Sant Jeroni, the summit of Montserrat (1,236 m). This route starts at the famous monastery, with a ride on the spectacular Sant Joan cable car.
- Also a walk, this time of about 4 hours and around the mountain. This route is not as populated, so you can push on to less visited parts of this very special mountain.
Of course, there is always the option of paying a visit to the famous monastery.
No particular physical fitness is required. However, participants should be used to hiking.
Day trip with round trip by car/minibus/bus and pick up from your accommodation.
