Description of Tour

Jože Plečnik is the greatest Slovenian architect, who had a major impact on the modern identity of Ljubljana. Due to this, Ljubljana became one of the most charming capitals in Europe and it´s often named as Plečnik´s city.

Get to know the life and the unique architecture of the great Master, who in four decades developed and upgraded the city´s potential into a wonderful unity. During the tour we will take a look at Plečnik´s Masterpieces in the city centre: the iconic triple bridge, the picturesque riverbanks of Ljubljanica, the national Library and much more.

"Wenn es Ljubljana nicht schon geben würde so hätten sich France Prešeren, Josipina Toman und Johann Wolfgang von Goethe zusammengefunden um diese aus ihrer Phantasie entspringen zu lassen" Die Reise führte von der Frühgeschichte über die Kelten (Taurisker) zum Römische Reich weiter ging es in die Zeit der Völkerwanderung, in das Mittelalter, zur Neuzeit, in das 20Jhdt. bis in die Gegenwart. Ljubljana ist auch eine Stadt des Jugendstils. Eine Stadt die Wissen schafft, eine Stadt der Kunst, Ljubljana ist die grüne Hauptstadt des Landes. Anmut und Zauber haben hier ihren großen Auftritt. Bestehende Brücken, Plätze und Gebäude wurden unter anderem von dem Architekten Jože Plečnik geplant.
Es war ein kurzweiliges und zugleich lehrreiches Eintauchen in diese pittoreske Stadt der Dichter, Denker und Künstler.
