Lantau, the green lungs of Hong Kong. The largest island of the territory, yet mostly undeveloped.
This tour takes you to Tung Chung from where you take the Ngong Ping 360 cable car (choice of regular cabin and crystal cabin with glass bottom) to Ngong Ping village, home of Po Lin monastery and the famous Big Buddha - the world's largest seated bronze Buddha statue.
After touring the monastery we head over to Tai O fishing village, mostly known for it's stilt houses and great seafood. We explore the village, see some ancient temples (founded around 1492), walk the boardwalk between the stilt houses, and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch.
After that on to Mui Wo, a sleepy commuter town. Time depending we'll take a walk through the surroundings - an old watch tower, small farms, the beach and temples, after that you go by ferry back to Central district on Hong Kong Island, passing by various scenic islands and impressive Victoria Harbour.
