During this tour you will have the opportunity to get to know many different faces of a mysterious lady called Riga. On foot and by bus.
We start the day with a relaxing walk through the narrow cobbled streets of the Old Town. Let yourself be fascinated by the medieval romance of the city of merchants and craftsmen. A city with eight hundred years of history and fabled significant architectural monuments.
Then we can take a coffee or beer break (or perhaps lunch) at your convenience.
After lunch, you are invited to a city tour of the historic centre of Riga.
By car, you can see the whole historic center in about 2 hours. Enough time to get out and take pictures will be included of course.
During the city tour you will discover the following sights of the city: the Moscow suburb with the famous market halls and a 21-storey "Stalin cake", the left bank of the Düna River with modern houses and beautiful postcard view of the Old Town, Kipsala Island with beautifully restored wooden houses and Žanis Lipke memorial, Boulevard Ring with magnificent 19th.-20.century and Art Nouveau district with richly decorated facades.
My car is at your disposal. For the groups, I can order the bigger transport.
