Description of Tour

The tour allows you to get a first impression of Florence to know better the cradle of the Renaissance. Our meeting point is in Piazza della Repubblica. The tour will then take you through the medieval streets to Florence's Duomo Square, across Piazza della Signoria with the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and through the courtyard of the Uffizi Gallery. The tour ends on the banks of the Arno with a beautiful view of the Ponte Vecchio. Afterwards we visit the Palazzo Vecchio which has been the seat of the city's government for 700 years. Since the 14th century it has been at the centre of secular power and became the symbol of the Republic of Florence. In 1540 Cosimo I de'Medici moved his political power and residence to Palazzo Vecchio. He commissioned Giorgio Vasari to adapt the halls to suit his status. The most important artists of the 16th century worked here and their masterpieces still speak to us today. For eternity, the greatest Florentines of all time confront each other here. The guided tour offers you the opportunity to discover the special charms and secrets of the Palazzo Vecchios. It's worth it - let yourself be surprised!!!
