Enjoy Helsinki and Finnish music with the 3-hour Citi-Tunes ™ walking tour of the city's most beautiful sights. You will learn interesting facts about Helsinki and get to know the diverse, Finnish music and popular melodies. A high-quality audio system with headphones and receivers guarantees individual listening enjoyment.
You will meet your guide at the easy-to-find meeting point in the center and receive your personal audio set. As soon as all participants have arrived, a sound test of the system will be carried out. Afterwards, you will receive a brief introduction to Finnish history and the importance of music in the past. You will get to know some of the heroes from the national epic Kalevala and hear first examples of traditional folk music.
The walk will then take you to the most beautiful sights in the city center. You will see the esplanades, market square, the orthodox Uspenski Katherale (closed on Mondays), the Senate Square and the Protestant Cathedral, the station square with the Ateneum and National Theater, the Citizen Square with the Oodi library, the National Museum, Parliament, Concert Hall, Finlandia Hall and the Chapel of Silence as well as numerous art nouveau buildings. The inside visit of the building is planned depending on the opening times.
At various stops you will learn interesting facts about Helsinki and you will hear different pieces of music, occasionally while walking. After a good 3 hours you will be back at the starting point.
