Enjoy Helsinki and Finnish music on a Citi-Tunes™ walking tour to the beautiful landmarks in the city centre called. The tour features informative commentary and fascinating music samples from Finland. A high-quality audio system makes sure that you have a great listening experience.
You meet your professional guide at an easy to find meeting point in the city centre of Helsinki. First you receive your personal audio set and go through a short sound check.
Once everybody is set up, there will be an introduction into the roots of Finnish music and you get to “meet” the ancient heroes from the national epic Kalevala. You hear some traditional Folk music from Finland and start walking through the city centre.
The tour covers the main sights in the centre like the Esplanades, Marketplace, orthodox Uspenski Catheral, Senate Square and protestant Helsinki Cathedral, Train station square with Ateneum and National Theatre, National Museum, Parliament, Music Hall, Finlandia Hall and chapel of silence as well as Art Nouveau buildings and a lot of details on the way. Opening hours permitting, inside visits will be made.
At the different stops you’ll receive expert commentary from your authorized Helsinki guide. Your guide will present you with music samples from Finland and explain how they are connected to the landmarks, a specific time period in history or important personalities. Commentary and some music will also be presented while walking.
