Description of Tour

Look forward to a full-day, private city tour in Istanbul with a German-speaking guide. You will be picked up by your guide at the airport, the passenger ports (cruise ships) or at your hotel and embark on a unique discovery tour through the metropolis of millions.

The program of your guided tour through the impressive city starts in the old town followed by a trip to the Asian side and finally to the end of the Golden Horn. This program is especially suitable for first-time visitors to the Turkish metropolis, as you will get the best overview of the city.

The city tour starts in the morning hours, 08:30-09:00, and you will first visit the following sights:

- Hagia Sophia
- Topkapi Palace
- Yerebatan Sarnici (Sunken Cistern or other Sunken Palace)
- Hippodrome Square (Sultan Ahmet Square) with its monuments (Kaiser Wilhelm II. Fountain, Egyptian or Theodosius I Obelisk/ from the Temple of Karnak in Luxor, Serpent Column/ from the Temple of Apollo in Delphi, Bricked Obelisk)
- Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet- Mosque)

You will enjoy lunch on the Çamlica Hill on the Asian side of the city of Istanbul.

The Ottoman café and restaurant is highly recommended and moderate prices prevail. Also look forward to the opportunity to drink Çay with Keyif (relish) during your city tour.

In the late afternoon, the tour continues to the Eyüb district, named Eyyûb el-Ensarî after the legendary flag bearer of Prophet Muhammed Ebu.

We visit the Eyüp Sultan Mosque and take a cable car to the magnificent view from Piere Loti Café.

Please note that we need a vehicle to go to Asia and Piere Lotti, due to the dimensions of the city.

From 06:00-20:00 there is an additional cost of 150€ - 200€ (including driver, up to 6 people, 7 hours of use).

Requirements

• Please let us know your cell phone number, which you will carry with you on the excursion day
• Bypass many queues in front of the sights on this tour
• For the trip to the Asian side, a vehicle is inevitable. Incurring additional costs: 150 - 200-€/ day (08:30-17:00), including driver, pickup from TRaffpunkt!
• The winter time goes from 20.10. to 15.04. and most museums close here already at 17:00 and also the visit of the mosques is then only allowed until 17:00 maximum, with some exceptions.
