At Richardsplatz, the present district of Neukölln was founded by the Order of St. John in 1360. At that time, the village was called Richardsdorp.
Still today, the Richardplatz offers an almost village-like ensemble with village church, smithy and houses, some of which date back to the early 19th century.
In the guided tour, the development of the village to the formerly independent city of Neukölln is addressed.
You will learn why in Rixdorf is Musike still a familiar song for many Berliners.
In the first half of the 18th century, a Bohemian village was created in what is now Neukölln. Even today, the listed houses of the descendants of the first Bohemian immigrants stand on Richardstrasse.
