Description of Tour

Full day excursion. Departure from Stresa or Baveno for the visit to Isola Bella, the most famous Island, with the representation Mansion of the Borromeo and the unique Italian Garden. There is luxury every step we take, wonderful sights of the Borromean Gulf, the amazing “grotte” the white peacocks, the open-air theatre, sub-tropical plants everywhere. We move to Fishermen’s Island for a walk in the medieval little village in the only island that kept its original look. Walk through the small houses and to reach the most romantic corners of the island and the panoramic points. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon we reach Isola Madre, the biggest island on the lake for the visit to the botanical garden and the house, now a museum with interesting marionette collections. In the garden there is a collection of ancient Camellias, huge rhododendron bushes and several sub-tropical plants, among which the most important tree on the whole Lake Maggiore. Birds in every color wander in the park.
