Algés was once a fishermen's village, a summer resort and is now a residential area at the gates of Lisbon, where many of us pass by without realising the richness of its heritage. Its name and history dates back to the Arabs and today it has a set of interesting buildings such as churches, palaces, sports associations and old farms and forts. All this is part of its history that we will be able to know about during a walking tour. Come and discover a town on the outskirts of Lisbon, right next to the Tagus and that certainly still has much to surprise those who visit.
