The city is known for its World Heritage Site - the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the Reales Alcazares, the oldest inhabited royal palace in Europe, making it a "must see" for any Seville traveler. On this tour we will not only visit the palace rooms of Peter I, decorated in the Mudejar style, but also the Hispano-Arabic gardens that belong to it, with their tropical trees and the ever-soothing element of water in the form of all kinds of fountains for peace and relaxation. The cathedral, third largest church in Christendom, is the next highlight of the visit. It is built over the old mosque, of which the minaret still survives, today's bell tower, called the Giralda. Inside you will find the largest Gothic high altar and the famous tomb of Columbus, as well as works of art by Spanish painters and sculptors of the first rank. In between there is still time for the former Jewish quarter, today called Barrio Santa Cruz. It is a labyrinth of narrow and winding streets that lead again and again to picturesque squares that invite you to linger with their colorfully tiled benches.
