Bergmannstraße in Kreuzberg has become an absolute 'in' street. Numerous restaurants line both sidewalks.
But Bergmannstraße is also history.
We shed light on the origins of the street and get info on events that are now covered by the cloak of oblivion.
Where Bergmannstraße ends at Mehringdamm, the face of the district also changes.
Birthplace of the IT-society and source of southern flair lie here.
Finally we climb to the top of the Kreuzberg and take a detailed look at one of the masterpieces of Karl Friedrich Schinkel - the Prussian star architect of the first half of the 19th century.
A slightly different walk in a slightly different part of the city.
