What others say about my tours:
facker1980 “The owner/driver/guide (I think his name is Brad) was great. Very knowledgeable, amusing, considerate, flexible. Would definitely recommend”.
TheresaModes “Well I was visiting from California, my friend is a native Southern gal and I thought let us be tourists in her own turf. We took the Durham tobacco historical tour and I felt like my favorite cousin was taking us on a 2 1/2 hour magical ride. Brad was charming as only a Southern man can be, and so full of interesting history and jokes. I was very impressed by his relaxed manner and knowledge of the area and history. My friend is going to sign up for another tour and take her sister!!! I will most certainly take another tour on my next visit to Raleigh/Durham. Do not miss this experience”.
Iluvameridol: “Having just moved to Wake County I wanted to find a tour that would give me the scoop on Raleigh. FUN / LAUGHS / EDUCATIONAL / plus food and drink, what more could you ask for? What a great way to spend a day off. Brad was not only very knowledgeable, he was entertaining and obviously enjoys what he does! I can't wait to take ALL the other tours”!
Harry2015 “The knowledgeable driver in his luxury sedan introduced us to geographical, historical, commercial, and cultural Durham. If you are considering visiting Durham, its surrounds, its colleges, its historic architecture, or doing business there or relocating, I recommend your exploration begin with this orientation. This tour is an amazingly efficient and effective way to establish coordinates and reference points relative to Durham and the triangle area”.
momdott: My son and daughter-in-law were visiting me in my new digs here in Durham. I had wanted to take a tour but put it off until they could get down from Cape Cod. We all loved the tour. And for me, it was an opportunity to get to see more of my new "hometown". I think I can find my way around now to DPAC and Duke Gardens just for starters.
May do this again for a tour of neighboring Raleigh.
Again the three of us plus three other people of the tour really liked
steves2210: Brad - he was knowledgeable and funny and kept us engaged with questions and answers (guesses on our part). Never realized Duke was such a small university (comparatively speaking of course) and loved the time spent in the Duke Chapel. Also was amazed at how the warehouses and manufacturing buildings have been recycled into shops and living space. Bravo to the city planners who recognized a great opportunity for saving taxpayers money while creating wonderfully interesting gathering spaces for us all.
Praters1: Brad was great - we had to deal with the Xmas parade & street closings, etc., but he found ways to ensure we had our tour. His added friendliness, deep knowledge of the Raleigh area, businesses, history, & unique aspects of the city, was almost unlimited & his pride & passion for this business showed. Cemeteries, parks, city sites, local color - all made for a great 3 hour tour & we plan to return for another of his offered tours in 2015.
