My name is Manuela and I'm a professional licensed tour guide in Mantua (It. Mantova), Ferrara, Bologna, Modena and Parma. I was born in the middle of the Po Valley on the border between Lombardy and Emilia Romagna regions, and it was natural for me to become a tour guide in both regions. I'm a mix of the two cultures, I get along with the Lombard pragmatism and the Emilian jovial and open minded lifestyle. But from both cultures, above anything else, I have taken the best: culture, history, art and ... why not ... good food and wines! I love showing people the best these cities and their provinces can offer. Just follow me and you will discover not only beautiful squares and buildings but also less known city corners and the reason why this area is called the "Italian food valley". I love enjoyng the wonder of my guests while I'm talking about art and history, looking at their open mouthed faces, see their surprising eyes and hear their exciting comments and, last but not least, ... their delight in looking, smelling and tasting typical products. I organize all kinds of tours in Italian, English, German, Spanish and French, from walking city centre walking tours up to food and wine tours for all kinds of tourists. In the area where I work there are 5 Unesco heritage sites and there is the possibility to taste some of the most well-known worldwide products like Parmesan cheese, Parma ham and Balsamic vinegar. People can also discover how these products are produced and, at the same time admire, lots of art masterpieces.
I have got a Degree in Modern Languages, Cultural Mediator and International Relations at the Universities of Bologna and Florence.
I worked in some marketing staffs in Italy and abroad and I have been working as a guide in Mantua - Mantova since 2002, in Ferrara since 2003, in Modena since 2005, in Bologna, Parma and the entire Emilia Romagna Region since 2011.
