Jurmala - the largest spa town on the Baltic coast, is located only about 0.5 hours from Riga. So it is very convenient to visit this quiet oasis not far from the big city when you are in Riga.
Jurmala is famous for its natural treasures: wide long beaches with white sand, beautiful dunes with pine forests, so spa guests come here for treatment and lovers of beach relaxation. However, Jurmala is interesting not only during the high season in summer, you can visit it at any time of the year.
It also attracts lovers of architecture, because Jurmala is known for its typical wooden architecture. Jurmala also has an active cultural life with numerous concerts, music festivals all year round.
During my relaxed and relaxing tour in the center of Jurmala you can get to know the unique atmosphere of this spa town, we take a walk along the beach, along the famous pedestrian street - Jomas Street - with numerous restaurants, souvenir shops and other shops, you can admire expressive typical summer houses made of wood and other buildings in different styles. After a walk in the Dzintari forest park you can climb the 33m high tower from which a spectacular view of Jurmala opens up.
The offered tour starts at the main train station in Riga, the journey to Jurmala is by train, the journey time is about 0.5 hours.
