Description of Tour
Half-day excursion. Departure from the car parking of Orta. Walk along the panoramic promenade along the lake, flanked by secular mansions and parks. Visit of the ancient village. Beautiful views to the lake from the main square of Orta, an ancient fishermen village situated in front of the Island San Giulio. Enchanting!
There is the possibility to sail to the only Island on Lake Orta, the Island San Giulio, where we can visit the ancient medieval Basilica with ancient frescoes and a rare stone pulpit, a masterpiece of Middle Ages. Walk on the island and return to Orta for time at disposal.
