This tour is for travelers who wish to meet me in Ronda!
Rainer Maria Rilke, the famous poet, called Ronda the "dream city"! But Ronda is also called the "Lady of the White Villages" and is located in a breathtaking landscape, the Serrania de Ronda, which means "Mountains of Ronda". The gorge, washed out by the Guadalevin River millions of years ago, is witness to the development of the city, since the Romans, the Arabs and in recent years as one of the most visited cities in Andalusia. The Puente Nuevo, the New Bridge, is the symbol of the city and after its construction in the late 18th century, the modern Mercadillo district developed. But Ronda also stands for bullfighting: the cradle of modern tauromaquia - the art of bullfighting - is the oldest and certainly the most beautiful arena in Spain. After a stroll through the old town, across the bridge between the old and new town, between the Ciudad and Mercadillo we finish our visit in the centre.
In the surroundings of Ronda there is a bull farm where we can organize a private visit (price is not included and must be paid separately), certainly an interesting option if you travel with children, they can experience how the bulls live in nature. For wine lovers I can organize visits to local wineries, with typical tapas, or a visit to an organic oil mill. The tour to Ronda offers many possibilities - just ask for your individual tour!
