Description of Tour
Over a thousand years ago, Poznań’s stronghold and the Polish state were born on Cathedral Island. This is where Poland’s first brick building (the ruler’s palace) was likely built and where the country’s first cathedral was established—the final resting place of Poland’s first rulers.
Today, this charming part of the city offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town.
If you want to discover it and learn more about the early Polish state, join me on this fascinating tour!
Tour Highlights:
- Cathedral and underground crypts (entry requires an additional fee)
- St. Mary’s Church
- Cathedral Lock
- Porta Posnania (from the outside)
- 3D Mural at Śródecki Market Square
