Description of Tour
For each of us, the words "Once upon a time...." bring back memories of our own childhood. Many fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm collection begin with them, which were read and told to us or which we read and told to ourselves. The Brothers Grimm became world-famous thanks to the "Children's and Household Tales". The manuscript copy in Kassel has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.
To reduce their work to collecting fairy tales would not do them justice, as they also devoted themselves intensively to the German language and are therefore regarded as the founders of German studies. Kassel and the North Hesse region were home to the Brothers Grimm for over 30 years. Join us on a walk through Kassel in the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm, their family and friends.
