Description of Tour
On this guided walking tour of the imperial residential city (the imperial part of the city centre), you will admire palaces that recall influential noble families, tell exciting stories about their inhabitants, and which today mostly house official institutions or rich museums.
In the midst of this splendour is the extensive grounds of the Hofburg Palace, with more than 2000 rooms. Built as a medieval castle, a world empire was ruled from here. The splendor in the equipment, the abundance of art treasures and a baroque, exuberant architecture will inspire you.
Your private guide accompanies you and lets after a short time stones, facades and squares come alive. These get so a soul and suddenly begins an exciting bridge building from history to the present. And: You will also find some surprises, such as The Last Supper in original size and much better condition than in Milano.
This walk can very easily be combined with a 1h museum tour in one of the following museums. In this case, please charge 60 € for the 3rd hour of the tour excl. the entrance fees.
