Description of Tour
Get to know the whole of Hamburg on this exciting compact tour. See the Old Town, Inner City, Speicherstadt, HafenCity and finally also St. Pauli and the Reeperbahn.
See the famous Rathaus and experience its history with your own eyes. Discover the former site of Hammaburg, the town's namesake. Hear about Vikings and the secret of Hamburg beer.
Stroll through the Hamburg harbor, on the Nikolaifleet and learn about its special privileges and the origin of the harbor birthday. See the Nikolaikirche and the popular Michel, the city's landmark.
In Hafencity, you will see the Dallmannkai, the Magellan and Marco Polo Terraces, the Unileverhaus and the Cruise Terminal. After a short break, the tour continues towards the Elbphilharmonie, where you board a ferry for a trip on the Elbe. During the trip, you will see old museum ships, the Rickmer Rickmers and the Cap San Diego and Hamburg's largest shipyard Blohm amp; Voss, before disembarking at the Landungsbrücken again.
Climb the "Hamburger Berg", from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the entire Hafenpromenade and the Old Elbe Tunnel. Visit the infamous St. Pauli and the Kiez and learn interesting facts about the Herbertstraße, the Große Freiheit and the Reeperbahn. Finally, enjoy a real "Astra-Knolle" (real Hamburg beer) in the Silbersack in a cozy atmosphere.
If you still feel like it, take a stroll with the city guide along the "Große Freiheit" and then on to the Männerstrich, the Heilsarmee and the "Honka-Stube".
Note: the actual tour, including breaks and the ferry trip, takes around 3.5 hours.
