Description of Tour
The idea of offering culinary tours came to me through my studies, teaching and love for food. As a lecturer, tour guide and foodie, I prepared guided culinary adventures infused with abundance of unforgettable cultural experience. I am not a Master Chef as some of my ex-students are, but as a passionate cook I know everything there is to know about Slovenian food – its history, where all the tasty ingredients come from, how to pair food and wine… You will be surprised how interesting as well as diverse our cuisine is.
The tour is something special as each food-tasting location is carefully selected, based not only on the quality of the food, but also the story of the place. Along the way, you will sample our traditional sour turnip – don’t be surprised, it’s really yummy – learn about our cakes, have a sip of a special brandy so characteristic of Slovenia, and much more.
