Description of Tour
This two-and-a-half-hour tour focuses on the area around the Reeperbahn in the entertainment district of St. Pauli. Starting within sight of the FC St. Pauli stadium, we take you to the "Sinful Mile"
First, we head along the Reeperbahn to Spielbudenplatz and the "Dancing Towers". The square is known to locals from the live broadcasts of the Eurovision Song Contest. Just across the street, you can also see the "Erotica Boutique Bizarre".At a leisurely pace, you walk across Spielbudenplatz. There is nothing left to see of the Esso high-rise buildings and the famous petrol station of the same name. But fortunately, the glittering world has plenty of staying power. In "St. Lustig" you can see the wax museum, the theater mile and the "Docks", Hamburg's largest discotheque.
Then it's off to the Davidwache, probably the most famous police station in the world. You can feel the border to the red light and restricted area, to St. Liederlich, where the "girls" are located.
There are no street signs on Herbertstraße, but there are blinds. Women are denied access. Instead, female tour participants can look forward to the second most beautiful view of the city after the Michel, before their gaze lingers on a club with Seiden-M painting.
Exciting historical facts and amusing anecdotes await you on the way to the cult pub "Zum Silbersack", where hardly anything has changed since 1949. You can marvel at this over an "Astra-Knolle", a real Hamburg beer.
The "Ritze", a cozy pub, is also iconic. Your city guide will tell you first-hand how the gang wars of the "GmbH" and the "Nutella Gang" and other well-known Kiez celebrities once raged right next door.
Then it's off to Beatles-Platz and Große Freiheit. The "Safari" is one of two clubs in Europe where live sex can be performed on stage.
Other stops are the "Männerstrich" and Talstraße, where the Heilsarmee is also based among a number of gay venues.
In the Christmas season, the Santa Pauli Christmas market is the last stop. The motto here is: The bells never ring sweeter! At Hamburg's hottest Christmas market, the boundaries between conventional Christmas and the frivolity of typical neighborhood life are blurred. Santa Pauli attracts visitors with live music on the show stage and hot angels. We can enjoy a hot mulled wine at one of the many cozy stalls or take a quick look in the strip tent.
