Description of Tour
The tour explores two of London's most exciting districts with many of the city's most famous sights. We start at the Tower of London, which has been a royal residence and notorious prison among many other functions in its almost 1,000-year history. We learn about London's history as a center of trade and seafaring and see the famous Tower Bridge. From there, we take a walk through the modern financial district with its many skyscrapers towards St. Paul's Cathedral, famous for its dome.
After a short break, we make our way to Westminster, the seat of the British government and the royal family. From Parliament Square, where we see Big Ben and Westminster Abbey and learn more about the British system of government as well as coronations and royal weddings, we continue to Buckingham Palace, where our tour ends.
